Digitally remastered and expanded edition of this album featuring one bonus track. The Alan Bown! Was the debut release by celebrated Jazz and Rock trumpeter and arranger Alan Bown and his band. This album was recorded during his group's transition from one of Britain's finest Soul outfits to a leading Jazz Rock band with Progressive /5(9).

Jun 30,  · The Stereo implamentation is just not done so well for something like half the album. Those times it sounds its best its quite a great listen like Mutiny, All Along The Watchtower, Sally Green and Youre Not In My Class. But the rest is primitive and weak which might also be the cause of my other problem which is the unblalanced levels of all 4/5(8).

Where Hendrix first heard “All Along the Watchtower” is a matter of some debate. His publicist at the time, Michael Goldstein, says he played it for him at a Greenwich Village party before Dylan’s album John Wesley Harding was even released. “I went to dinner with [Dylan’s manager] Albert Grossman in an awful Mexican restaurant around 46th Street,” he says.
